Painted in 2021 this original art is part of the California Dreamin' Series of small works by Kate Joiner. Each piece is signed by the artist on back. The are great pieces to start or add to your collection or also make a great gift for a friend.

Almost all of these pieces are mounted on a cradled wood panel that easily stands on a shelf or light weight to hand on the wall with easy. To create more of a statement You have an option to frame in a simple floating frame where there is a small space between the art as it "floats" in the frame. About this piece:

" Upcycled Wood? What does that mean? This piece of wood was originally used in as a temporary wall during construction of our local High School. The Art department had enthusiastically painted murals on them to beautify the campus. When construction was complete the walls were destined to become landfill. I was able to acquire four 4 x 8 x 4" panels and have used them in various project and even have used them in building storage in my art studio. After disassembling them, I took one of the pieces of plywood and cut in into 48 x 48" and after removing the nails, gessoed (sealed) both sides of the wood to prevent any further damage.

The subject is one of our iconic Torrey Pines trees that lines the coast in North County San Diego, this one being at one of my favorite local spots, "Dip in The Road", Carlsbad.

I chose to use my grid method on this piece, leaving some of the exposed wood in certain areas to show the original wood restored, keeping this piece from the landfill for a long time to come.

When finished I build a thin custom maple wood floating frame and used the same nail holed of the ones removed to secure to the new frame."

Shipping can be anywhere from 3 to 7 days for prints and 5 to 10 working days for framed items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Please contact if shipping calculator is not working correctly. I have shipped internationally many times and can estimate the cost for You in advance. Sometimes the prints ship quickly but the framed pieces can range from 3 weeks to 5 weeks (estimate) and international shipping cannot be tracked. A full refund will be given if somehow lost during transit.

RETURNS:

Returns are accepted up to 15 days after receival of item. But please contact me first. If there was a misprint it will be replaced (I have only had one so far). I am a small business owner and painter. So please consider this in case You just “change your mind”. I am not set up like big box or Amazon stores. If You change your mind, I still have to pay for it and try to resell it. I hope this is understandable.

1. Museum Quality Prints

-Museum prints come with small white border unless You request through messaging if You do not want it.

-Most often they come rolled in a tube do decrease the change of bending or damage during transit.

-Printed on Kodak ENDURA Premier Paper which is archival and acid-free : Lustre (260 gsm)

-The lustre photo paper is most closely related to a matte finish but, has a textured appearance and a very slight sheen to it. It makes skin tones appear very flattering. This paper type is the standard paper type in professional printing.

3. Canvas Print Reproduction

-Dimensions 1 1/4" Thick Framing

- Come with Black sides unless You need white which You will need to arrange before it is printed. :-)

- Artist-grade poly-cotton blend canvas. Hard, high-density wood fiberboard and a plastic frame

- Care:UV coating is scratch-resistant. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

4. Canvas Print + Frame

-Dimensions: Depth is 1/75 inches. Add 1.5 inches for overall frame to the size your order. For example, a 12"x12" canvas gallery wrap will be approximately 13 1/2" x 13 1/2" including the frame.

-Floating frames give art the illusion of canvas floating inside the picture frame without touching it. Canvas is mounted in the frame using a proprietary combination of tension and adhesive

-Frames are made from recycled plastic making them solid, durable, lightweight and environmentally friendly.

-Full finished back

-Wipe the Canvas with a clean, dry cloth. We recommend micro-fiber cloth to limit any scratches or damage to the print. UV coating is scratch-resistant. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
