Notes from the artist:
"I stumbled across this picturesque bluff while on a trip along the Central California coastline. I painted it in the way I found the bridge, by whimsical instinct.
My approach to finding unique locations to paint, is by seeing what happens when you go down a less marked road, and let yourself seek adventure by not knowing what the outcome will be.
When painting this piece, the same intuitive process came forward, letting the colors bring themselves onto the canvas and then I make decisions to complete the composition and create balance and harmony with in the piece.
It was a happy painting from start to finish and will bring the same joy to who ever decides to add it to their home collection. The sky is a flat pale yellow with a hint of vibrance, that balances the pink and green foliage and the historic train bridge nestled in the bluffs."
